A portion of the goals I need to carry out this semester in English 91-101 is having the capacity to comprehend the course more. Students come into the semester not knowing what your instructor is about to teach, but you know what subject he/she is teaching. Depending on what type of instructor he/she may be will determined your learning abilities. Is your teacher exhausting and don 't know what he/she is instructing or is your educator enthusiastic and subtle elements all that he/she may discuss? This is where confidence comes in. Students should be able to trust themselves enough to raise their hand for a question or to speak in public. Confidence in college should not be an issue because college students are curious about what is going on in the subject being taught. If you don’t ask questions in class, you will never know the answer and what is the purpose of coming to class if you don’t know what you are supposed to be learning. I believe everyone should set a couple of goals for themselves at the beginning of the semester because setting goals can help you be a better you. If you wake up every morning knowing that you have a goal set for the day, it motivates you to do what you have to do and to get done what needs to be done. Not everyone has the same mindset as everyone else though so some people might not set goals. Becoming a better person is part of growing up and becoming who you want to be and who you want other people to see you as.
