In general, the Pre-Pharmacy Association is created with the mission to help it members to be involved in the school activity and provide them with resources and opportunities in order to introduce them to the world of pharmacy major. For this is an educational program their use of language was very intelligent as I interview Trinh Nguyen, a member and biochemistry major at the University of Oklahoma, I found out the group social language was more educational, they apply a lot of medical vocabulary in their everyday conversation. During the interview, Trinh told me all about what the activity and work that she and all the members in the student organization involve in, and gave me a pretty good picture of how the group communicate with it member through the use of media and meeting which held every week to help discus and answer question that each member had about the application to pharmacy school or just in general the type of course that they needed to accomplish in order to have a good change to get into pharmacy school. As I go on to the interview Trinh mention more about how Pre-Pharmacy Association was designed to work for its members to help them find a group of people with the same goal and interest that they can communicated together using the same type of language to express their designer to help each other to accomplish goals and look for internship during the summer. “The main goal of the internship program is to develop the profession of pharmacy by providing pharmacy students an opportunity to work in various practice settings within a health system” (Clark 953).…

The main reason why I think that HACC is the best choice for me is because of the cost. The rates per credit are around $250 and that is for in-state residents. The total cost for a commuter would be around $13,750 for a student who is full time, which means they are taking 12 credits per term (Stager). This price of $13,750 includes the price of books, supplies, food, and transportation and it is an average price for all HACC students (HACC.edu). I think that I could easily cut some of the cost by trying to buy my books online for a cheaper price or even eating at home to save a lot of money.…

Keeping my three personal and professional goals realistic, I would have to say a personal goal is to finish school at SNHU with a 3.0 GPA or above. I think a way for me to accomplish this goal is to stay focused on the tasks at hand, maintain a good relationship with my advisors and to utilize some of the tutoring options that are available to me as a student. Another personal goal is to work on myself, mentally. I cannot be a good mom or wife when I have the stress, anxiety and depression that I do. A way to help accomplish this goal is to not only start speaking with a psychiatrist (first appointment is August 4th) but to also have my thyroid checked.…

I was diagnosed with tuberculosis at the age of fifteen. I had just arrived in the U.S. after having lived as a refugee in the Philippines, where the disease was prevalent. Though I was prescribed with nine months of antibiotic treatment, I was thankful that at least I did not have the scar on my parents’ shoulders, a result of smallpox vaccinations which I once believed marked them as “Vietnamese boat refugees.” Throughout my treatment, my pharmacist made a great impact toward my wellbeing. She was available to answer questions without appointments and strictly encouraged each visit.…

    My Passion For Pharmacy

As strange as it may sound, my first encounter with pharmacy happened even before I learned how to speak. In Vietnam, there is this spiritual First Birthday ceremony by which all one-year-olds must pick an item such as a stethoscope or a money note from a tray of twelve, each of which is thought to link to the baby’s future career and will “forever seal their fate”, in the words of my grandmother. According to my mother, when facing with the tray, I immediately chose a drug box! Years later, I looked at those ceremony photos again and realized that the event had less to do with my destiny than the fact that it must have been my dad who, in an attempt to “coax” me into following his career path, put the most attractive, playfully-packaged box of drug onto the tray. Even now, my dad is still a great source of support for me, and I have a strong sense of pride in him, for I know that he is the blueprint that defines who I want to become in future.…
