My short term goals are to pursue my masters in urban development and then to continue on with my PhD in either public policy or economics. My long term goal would to be to work in the public sector as well as teach at the university level. As a by product of these long term goals I hope to be able to work in extremely underrepresented areas, such as the one I grew up in, Brockton, Massachusetts. I believe through working in public financing I can help raise the amount of assistance offered to families in poverty which I believe will be have a positive impact in every aspect of their lives.
