What Are My Core Values

Improved Essays
I believe that the core values of compassion, integrity, altruism, accountability and social responsibility are areas of strength for me. Living in a diverse area, working at Bethesda Physical Therapy and Koa Sports, I experience working with females and males of various ages, races, nationalities, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, health conditions and disabilities. I am currently looking to volunteer at a pro bono center where I will be working with individuals of different socio-economic statuses. I appreciate the differences in each individual and seek to provide a professional service to all people and believe that all people deserve to have access to professional healthcare services and knowledge about living healthy lifestyles.

These unique experiences have broadened my horizons and allowed me to gain valuable communication skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I searched out opportunities to give back and help the people in my community both in volunteering in hospitals, educating high school students, and interning in private practices. Through my involvement at the UCSD Student-Run Free Clinic and at FSA Community Program I learned to work in a team and to always share the same goal as my teammates. This common goal is to give the best and most accurate service to the patient at the clinic, the same goal was shared during my time at FSA. These teamwork experiences have also taught me to provide, accept and use feedback from the members of my group, and to always adapt, improve and develop new skills. Through these three activities, I was able to reinforce my reliability and resilience. By volunteering at a hospital and clinic, I was able to meet different types of patients with very different backgrounds and cultures, which allowed me to reinforce my cultural competence,…
