Larry Page is an astounding entrepreneur who has seen and done more than most. His accomplishments are arguably some of the greatest of his time. Today, he has a net worth of 34.3 billion dollars. He has had many successes and achievements, most notably, the world's most popular search engine, Google. Page was born on March 26, 1973, in Lansing, the capital city of Michigan. His father was Dr. Carl Victor Page, a professor who specialized in computer science, technology, and artificial intelligence. He taught at Michigan State University. His mother was Gloria Lawrence, also taught computer programming at the university. Not only were Larry Page's parents technologically inclined, but his brother Carl Page Jr. was an internet mogul as well. Not surprisingly, Larry would grow up to follow in his family's footsteps, and even go on to well surpass their achievements which seem humble in comparison. …show more content…
There he became involved in a club called the solar car team, an activity that would foreshadow his later successes. He graduated with his Bachelor's in computer engineering and continued on to graduate school at Stanford to specialize in computer science. This is where he first came into contact with his partner, Sergey Brin, the cofounder of Google. Unlike Page, Brin was born in Moscow, Russia in the year 1973. He moved to Maryland when he was six years old. His father, was Michael Brin and his mother was Eugenia Brin. Sergey Brin attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School, and after graduating, went on to attend the University of Maryland. He graduated in three years with honors in math and computer science. He too, attended graduate school at Standford.
