What Are John Manson's Accomplishments

One night while John and Manson were drinking, John’s brother came home and almost hit them with his car. The brother then jumped from the car and immediately started firing his gun into the air until the chamber was empty. John explained how his brother sold his soul to the devil and was into dark magic. After Manson met John’s brother, John showed him the barn in which his brother performed sacrifices with birds, rabbits, snakes, and lizards. Next, they crawled through a sewer under a cemetery to reach the hidden house in the woods where his brother allegedly sold his soul. After finding the house, they saw pentagrams, upside-down crosses, and drawings of Satan covering the exposed concrete. Inside, they found a room with a yellow-stained …show more content…
With more free time, Manson was able to spend more time writing his twisted fantasies into short stories, novellas, and poems he sent to magazines such as Night Terrors, Penthouse, The Horror Show, and The American Atheist in hopes to have his work published. Unfortunately, only one short story from his many works was published by a small journal called, The Writer’s Block. Manson attended Broward Community College where he studied journalism and theater and wrote for the college newspaper. Later, he went into rock criticism for a local freebie entertainment guide called, “Tonight Today”. Eventually, he lied his way into 25th Parallel, a magazine where he wrote about rock music. Manson used his job as a journalist to promote himself and his band, but due to being the journalist writing the stories, he had to create a stage name to promote, hence, Marilyn Manson. Although he wrote several stories over interviews with other bands, his favorite story was about his aspirations for journalism and horror. In his next big story, he never expected to meet a beautiful woman and fall in love only to have his heart broken. Manson covered a story about the world of B (bondage) and D (discipline) where he met Mistress Barbara, a young woman with fiery red hair, curves, and well-defined cheekbones.
