Imhotep helped science to be introduced in a way that was unusual for his era. This revolutionary man was born at 2667 BCE in Memphis, Egypt. As Imhotep got older he became wiser and it was said that he was able to provide "remedies for all diseases" and give "sons to the childless". Imhotep opened a window to new knowledge. He had started a path to modern day Science. Even after his death in 2648 BCE in Egypt, his influence was long-lasting. His legacy was inspirational. Imhotep's innovative ways impulsed on the Egyptians and left them awestruck. So the Egyptians did what anyone would do in that era. make him a god. Imhotep's genius found it's way over to Greeks, where they marvelled at his brilliance. When his reputation found it's way over to Rome, he was praised by them. the influence for this stunning turn point in history was actually a dream by King Djoser. the dream or "vision" that king Djoser had was that when he died, the would be walking up on an extended staircase to heaven or the afterlife. King Djoser took this dream as a spiritual sign and after waking up he asked his adviser Imhotep, to make a "tomb" has an extended staircase to the afterlife. thus leading us to the first pyramid ever built, the step pyramid. after the step pyramid, Imhotep's reputation skyrocketed and didn't come back
