That tax money is used to help our social security system and other government programs but they are not entitled to use those benefits. With they billions, they pay in taxes they are only entitled to free schooling and emergency healthcare. Many of those families struggle to put food on the table for their family but the government won’t give them food stamps because they are not citizens but want them to pay taxes. The system the U.S. government has in place is unfair and need to be changed. If they have to pay taxes they should be able to use all the benefits they are paying for. “Undocumented immigrants paid $11.6 billion in state and local taxes in 2013”(AIC). The United States likes to call its self a country built by immigrants and a place where people can come and follow their dreams, but they are not doing that for those that arrive here illegally. I believe that the government is taking advantage of undocumented citizens to add revenue into our economy, and when they 're done with them they have them deport back to their country and continue the cycle.
