Although it is unfeasible for the ghost of Hamlet’s deceased father to suddenly appear one night and enlighten him of his tragically covered up death, Hamlet’s feelings of needing revenge are completely understandable and realistic. Similarly to a loved one of an innocently murdered individual to wish for the victim’s death either be satisfied by punishing the criminal with life in prison or by execution via the death penalty, Hamlet’s heart and soul feel as though they are unable to move on until the offender is given their fair share of pain. Hamlet insists that his uncle must eventually feel the completely shocking and violent jolt of death and duplicity that his father did as he was killed.
