Good nutrition is always a concern when it comes to our health. Many people do not show concern when it comes to their body. But they do not know that improper nutrition causes serious and chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Malnutrition causes serious diseases; some can be curable, while others cannot. Malnutrition occurs when there is insufficient or excessive intake of energy and nutrients in our diet. So, how might you get a proper nutrition you might be asking? A proper nutrition comes with having the correct minerals and vitamins as well as consuming the correct fats, carbohydrates and proteins. Deficiencies of specific vitamins and minerals play important roles in glucose metabolism and insulin signaling pathways may contribute to the development of serious diseases in adults and children. One of the serious diseases caused by malnutrition is diabetes type 2. Not showing an importance to your health can lead to this silent killer. Diabetes is a chronic disease in which the body can no longer regulate glucose. Glucose is sugar, which means that the body is not able to regulate the high dosage of sugar that is in our bloodstream. Many people do not think they have diabetes type 2 because they do not have any symptoms. This is why it is important to go get your glucose levels checked at least 2 times a year.
