I found the idea of D-List Actors to be very interesting. I think this is a case of Prisoners’ Dilemma for many reasons. The example you gave was that these D-List Actors have a standard of beauty they need to meet in order to get jobs and be popular. In turn, these actors undergo plastic surgery, hours of hair and makeup, and certain wardrobes that suit society. By agreeing to all of this, the actors cooperate and therefore, will most likely get hired. But by doing so, they lose their individuality and uniqueness. If they do not adhere to these ways, they will most likely not get hired to act, but they will still be themselves and not someone who they are not.
