These examples are above and beyond bullying, these are considered child harassment. According to Pacer’s National Bullying Prevention center, school-based bullying prevention programs, have decreased the actions of bullying by 25%. Fixing a bullying issue inside the school, would let kids open up and tell the truth. Bullies and victims that are discussing problems with the police, whom they don’t know, may not open up about the truth or be embarrassed. Talking to parents, and principles, whom they DO know will expose the truth out of the children. Another reason why children should not be held legally responsible is because taxpayers would have to pay more taxes to pay for police officers to monitor bullying. Police officers could be dealing with a murder, or a much worse case than bullying. Principles are fully capable of dealing with bullies. An alternate solution to involving the police is to charge the parents. Charging the bullies parents would pressure them into being strict and discipline their children. Sometimes parents can be the reason a bully acts the way it does, fining parents will remind them that they might be part of the
