Archimedes Accomplishments Archimedes was born in Scilly in 287 BC, he is known for being one of the greatest Greek minds during the Classical Age due to his contributions to science. However, he was not just a scientist he was also a great mathematician with his mathematical formula that illustrates how to get the volume of a sphere, and he was an amazing inventor too as he had numerous of inventions that we still use today. Archimedes contributions to the topic of physics are endless but, one of his important accomplishments is his Law of the Lever.
