America has given my generation many great gifts. America's greatest gift to my generation are the protection of my freedoms. The biggest protection to our freedoms came from our founding fathers in the Bill of Rights.

One of the most important amendments from the Bill of Rights is the First Amendment. The First Amendment grants citizens freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly, and petition. Freedom of speech means you can say something and not get penalized by the government. The freedom of religion blocks Congress from favoring one religion over the other, and I can worship as I choose. The freedom of the press allows the press to not be punished for expressing views unfavorable to the government. The freedom of the press extends to
