Whales Observation Report

Improved Essays
Whales are fancy creatures. They are considered as the biggest mammals in the world. An adult whale can grow up to 30 m long and 180 t weight. There are 7 different main species of this giant mammal such killer, Minke, Sei, humpback, right, finback, and blue. Whales are mostly considered as predators. The interesting thing about the whales is that they are considered as highly intelligent animals with emotion. the social behavior of whales. They live alone or in groups. However, they are mostly observed in groups. Some of their species (killer whales for instance) can live in a family over their entire life period. One of the biggest baleen whales is humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae). The most interesting thing about the humpback whales …show more content…
The fitness had been known by the k-fold cross validation (CV) technique in this study. In k-fold cross validation, the training data set is randomly splitted into K mutually exclusive subsets (folds) of approximately similar size. With a given set of parameters, the regression function had been built, using (K-1) subsets as the training set. By the mean abstract percent error (MAPE) on the last subset (testing set) The efficacy of the parameter set is measured. It had been repeated Ktimes the above procedure, so each subset is used once for testing. Averaging the MAPE over the Ktrials. (〖MAPE〗_CV) gives a rate of the predicated generalization error for testing on sets of size (K-1/K)×l in which l is the number of testing data sets. Lastly, the optimal performing parameter set had been specified. Conventionally, the testing error of k-fold cross validation is applied to evaluate the generalization error (where k=5 )[22]. Therefore, the fitness function is defined …show more content…
The solution with a smaller〖〖 MAPE〗^ 〗_CV of the testing data set has a lesser fitness value, and so has a better chance of surviving in the successive generations. Our proposed WOA-SVR model
A new method known as WOA–SVR is proposed in this study, which at the same time optimizes kernel parameters of RBF (Gaussian)dynamically optimizing all values of kernel ’s parameters through WOA evolutionary process, and utilizing obtained kernel parameters to build optimized SVR model in order to proceeded forecasting. Fig. 1 explains the algorithm process of the WOA–SVR model. Our proposed WOA–SVR details are illustrated as next: Preprocess:
1.1. Remove non-numerical value from features value to obtained the correct result.
1.2. Data scaling. The major trait of scaling is to bypass attributes in major numeric amplitude dominating those in lesser numeric amplitude. Generally, every feature could be linearly scaled to the range [-1, 1] or [0, 1].

Formative indicators are used to form a superordinate construct where the individual indicators are weighted according to their relative importance in forming the construct (Chin, 1998). Moreover, the normality of data distribution not assumed, thus data with non-normal distributions can be conducted in structural equation modeling since its application is performed in a non parametric way. PLS is also recommended when either cross-sectional, survey, or quasi-experimental research designs are used; when a large number of manifest and latent variables are modeled or when too many or too few cases are available (Falk, 1992).These conditions apply to this study because it will adopt a survey design; the sample size in this study is relatively small (126) and the Likert- scale used in this study normally do not…

The horizontal axis is the screening measure and the vertical axis is the dependent variable, math test scores. The counterfactual regression line is what the regression line would look like if the treatment had no effect. In a typical RD design, the form of the counterfactual regression line is assumed. It can, however, be estimated by adding a pretest comparison group, as Wing and Cook (2013) suggested (as detailed later). Usually the counterfactual regression line will be smooth across the cutoff point, as it is in Figure 2.…

Introduction: Though killer whales (Orcinus Orca), also called orcas, were considered whales by most people, they were actually members of the Delphinidae family. Killer whale were the largest member of the dolphin family. They were close related to bottlenose dolphins, pilot whale, and false killer whale. Dall’s porpoises sometimes mistaken as “baby” killer whale. Many culture named killer whale based on their position of food chain.…

Second, it provided the definition of standard error of measurement. The standard error of measurement is the standard deviation of errors of measurement, which can be expressed as the equation SEM=S_E=√(S_X^2 (1-r_(XX^ ' )))=S_X √(1-r_(XX^ ' ) ). If the test reliability is 0, SEM would be equal to the standard deviation of the observed scores; if the tess reliability is 1, SEM would be 0. In addition, different types of reliability coefficient used to calculate SEM could provide different SEM…

Implementation of Bayesian Method for basic pattern Classification Abstract: This document describes an example of basic pattern classification using the Bayesian method. Based on given two dimensional (2-D) training data for two classes, we created a classifier using discriminant function (which is the logarithmic version of Bayes formula) and used it to classify provided test data. We estimated the necessary statistical parameters, such as mean covariance and prior probabilities, from the training data set. We modeled two discriminant functions, which were further used on test data to discriminate between the two classes. We assumed that all the data are normally distributed.…

These characteristics are unique to the class, chondrichthyes. Ray, skates, and chimaeras are members of this class and sharks closest relatives. Shark fossil aren’t like dinosaur fossils, because sharks skeletons are made of cartilage (a connective tissue) they don’t fossilize well at all. However shark teeth and scales (called dermal denticles) do fossilize well and those fossils teach us up the…

Several methods exist for dealing with serial correlation. Here, we will deal exclusively with batch means, replication/deletion, and the Mean Squared Error Reduction (MSER) technique. The goal of these methods is to produce valid confidence intervals (CI’s) in the presence of serial correlation. In our analysis, we will use the lag k autocorrelation to find a point at which the observations are…

All of these hunting methods are always with more than one orca attacking, which relates to one of the reasons why orcas hunt and live in pods. Another thing about orcas is that they are related to dolphins. According to “National geographic,” “Orcas, or killer whales, are the largest of the dolphins and one of the world's most powerful predators.” Even though they are related orcas have been seen attacking dolphins (“Orca Kills Dolphin”). Both dolphins and Orcas are in the family Cetacean, which has all 76 known species of whales, dolphins, and porpoises (“WWF Global”). There is much more that can be learned about, all of this is only a small part of what you can…

Another additional features of CTWeb is its ability to set base test suite where a list of test case was used as base for PROW algorithm. Having all information needed, CTWeb execute PROW algorithm for the second times to reduce pairs obtained from the first execution. Then, the result will be sorted according to the weight of each pairs.…
