The economy is the wealth and resources of a country in terms of the consumption of goods and services. There were many issues with the economy in the early 1900’s like the Great depression in the 1930’s for example. However, the government worked hard to change the economy to benefit the common people. These changes impacted the economy and the common people positively.

Imperialism was good for the common people because there was more land owned by America, and tariffs were raised so America earned more money. Farmers also had more places to sell their crops and produce.
