Westville-Personal Narrative

Westville Grammar a school for the snobby, rich and arrogant. I believe I’m an exception to this although I go to Westville. Looking out of the window for my usual 10min glance, the sky risers are only to be seen. I look forward, a loud voice unlike any of the whispers of the birds “Jack, what do you think about the ancient war?” Said my ancient studies teacher Mr Daft
I rush through my textbook wondering what to say “Sir, I believe the ancient war had harsh punishments” I said hoping for my life it was acceptable
“Very well, Jack” phew, no detention today, Mr Daft is really a daft, he talks ¬¬¬really draggy and slow. I sit lonely by myself in most classes as most people in my year are snobby, rich or arrogant, having friends at Westville is an active mine field.

I take my food and head to my usual spot, on the grass under a tree. “Hey, local what you doing here?” yelled Tim burr, the most up themselves person in the whole world, I just don’t see why people like him. He nicknames me local because the only way I got into Westville was from living nearby the school. There aren’t many locals at Westville as most come from the outer suburbs with a talent.
“Time, to go local” Tim said as he grabs my sub and throws it on the ground. There is no point in trying to fight with him about anything as last time I tried, I became mincemeat. Tim got into Westville for his so called it talent in rugby. Finding someone that is a little like minded to me is a mission and a half, just nobody seems to be like me.
My favourite time of the day is the drive home, dad’s car has the best air-conditioning after a hot day at school although our car is a wreck compared to the other kid’s cars. I just lay back in the seat and plunder the day over. “So, Jack how was your day at school?” said dad almost as it was expected of

I have been living here at 100 Oakway dr. Richmond, VA for over a year now. As you know, I am in apartment number 2b with apartment number 32c above me. For 3 months now, I have been experiencing loud barking and banging from above. I know already that there should be no animals here in Oakway, but it seems to me that apartment number 32c is not aware, or are not concerned with the rules. I have made several attempts to speak to Ms. Dale about the dog and how loud they are, but she always tells me they are her kids and “kids will be kids.”…

In David and Goliath, Malcolm Gladwell is correct when he claims that It is better to be a “big fish in a small pond,” so attending California State University Sacramento as oppose to UC Berkeley is a better fit for me. When it comes to picking a school, nobody explains it better than Malcolm Gladwell with his “Relative Deprivation Theory”. Malcolm states that the definition of relative deprivation is “Rather than viewing ourselves and making self assessments of where we are at in terms of the world, we make them according to our immediate surroundings”. He shares with us the struggle of being a “Little fish in a big pond” and that choosing a prestigious school may not always be in our best interest. I am currently going to American River…

When arriving at Tenneco Automotive, I was welcomed by upper management, department leads and all other personnel. Weeks after I started, I was amazed each employee, plant manager to cleaning crew, demonstrated three particular values; integrity, perseverance and teamwork on a daily basis. These standards were their culture. Employees came to know and love the Tenneco way by spending 40-70 hours a week demonstrating what it really means to be a successful Tenneco employee.…

As Jenny carried the last box of clothes from her dorm room to her car, a wave of excitement ran through her body. It was officially summer. There were no classes or tests and most importantly, no more Chartwells. After a two-hour drive filled with Mcdonald’s stops and obnoxiously loud singing, she finally saw the long driveway that she knew so well. Being too excited to bother with unpacking her car, she grabbed her fish, who somehow managed to survive for two years, and sprinted up to the front door.…

My family and I started out the weekend by going fishing. We fished many hours and we hooked into some nice crappies. Our family’s seasonal camper on Lake Shamineau is where we spent most of our time fishing. Routinely spotted were large northern pike and muskies all while looking for schools of crappies and walleyes. Quietly trolling for walleyes, I happened to snag a small fishing rod.…

When i was younger i used to live at Christopher Lake I spent a lot of my childhood there. There's not much i remember from when i was young, But i remember meeting a guy named Drewe when i was 10 or 11, He was tall for his age with short brown hair and Hazel eyes. He sat next to me and he was pretty funny so we quickly became friends, as we got to know each other better we realized we liked pretty much the exact same things and got along very well. We lived fairly close to each other so we spent a lot of time back and forth between houses. He lived close to a lake and i was morso in the forest so we would switch houses every weekend and explore the area around our houses and hunt for rabbits until we had to go home.…

On the tenth of September, it was a rather dreary late summer evening. Not wanting to start on my homework, I skimmed through some old travel books attempting to plan a trip. The most promising place seemed to be the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan, however the Aztecs were known for human sacrifices and I didn’t want to take any risks. I doubt “being sacrificed by an extinct civilization” is a valid excuse for late homework. After searching a bit longer, I decided on the rather small Anglo Saxon village by the name West Stow.…

The Devon School was once full of life and everyone was happy that is, until I came. The boys really thought they knew who I was but they were completely wrong. This all began at the Devon school I met Gene, Finny, Leper, Brinker, and the other students. At first when I met Gene I was suspicious of him because I felt he was not trustworthy and was conservative. However, I noticed that Finny trusted everyone, including Gene, which he was humble and did not brag about how athletic or cool he was.…

The day that I will always be able to remember the exact details, despite the shudder that would come from recalling it. I had had a pretty basic life up to now. I had an older brother in college and two parents who had taken me to church every Sunday since I was a little girl; despite the fact that my father and the rest of my family were Jewish.…
