“I guess it’s hard sometime to distinguish between second chance and last chances” was said by Westley Moore to Wesley Moore, separated by jail. The author Westley Moore became a Rhodes Scholar, a White House Fellow, and a decorated veteran, while the other Wes Moore, Wesley, was sentenced life in prison for murder. They had a very similar childhood, but they had very different outcomes. Both Wes Moore’s decisions ultimately put them where they are today, but what shaped those decisions was their separate childhood and parents.
