Over the past few years business owners of Australia have been hit hard with the financial burdens that the current markets are delivering. The board of Westfarmers have been looking at ways to benefit the company and the lower division companies which branch off. They have come up with a solution which will both impact but also benefit the Australian community and the employees within the two major businesses; Blackwoods and Protector Alsafe.

The merger will be in full control by the Western Australian state manager who looks over all WA braches, he will then delegate roles to the area manager of the Pilbara, Blackwood’s branch manager and also myself who is currently acting branch manager of the Protector Alsafe business. Throughout all of the branches, Westfarmers has agreed to provide each branch with $1000 to spend of there liking to provide a bonding session for all Blackwoods employees of that store to attend and get to know each other, a great way to start a new team and for everyone to know each other and providing a more comfortable work place for the employees.
Additional cost will need to be discussed further with the State manager to approve.
