Wernher von Braun’s Journey to Space This world had a great awakening when Wernher von Braun came forth into it. He has broughten very many accomplishments to the United States of America. Though he was a secret Nazi, he created the V-2 rocket, started a family in America, and made many creations throughout his life time. He also helped send the first man to the moon with one of his great creations. War does not define who is right, war simply defines who is left. Yet in this case, Wernher von Braun made it through the war and came to America with a mind full of ideas. His heart fell in love with space that eventually caused mistakes, consequences, and greatness. Von Braun had a huge passion for space exploration, here is how Wernher’s amazing career started off.

He had three children, two girls and one boy. He married in the year of 1947, when he was in America. A year after he married, he had his first born Iris Careen von Braun. Four years later he had Margrit Cecile von Braun after he settled down in Alabama. Eight years after Margrit came his first son, Peter Constantine von Braun. Wernher von Braun’s younger brother, Mangus von Braun, was as well associated with german rocketry. Wernher called him to come work on his V-2 ballistic missile, since he was flight instructor and a chemical engineer. Wernher married his first cousin Maria von Quistorp in March of 1947. ( Nuefeld, 2008). Maria and Wernher got married in Landshut, Germany. Even though this was after the United States forces captured him and brought him over here, they allowed him a trip back to marry her. It was till 1955 when von Braun finally became a naturalized citizen. He started amazing work in America as well as other things, not just a family got
