Dare, A Regretful Education Have you ever wondered how the D.A.R.E. program worked in the United States? Well I can tell you this, if an officer that is involved with the D.A.R.E. program is trying to show you the impact of a substance, then why do you see them doing that same substance while off duty? They are either smoking a cigarette or guzzling booze until they are downright wasted, if this is the kind of inspiration that helps you stay away from substances, well it’d work better than what you’re learning from D.A.R.E. Stepping into the gym on my first day of high school I was more nervous than any person could imagine. I walked into the brightly lit gym with bleach white walls and blue and green plastic bleachers and took a seat far away from any human life.
