The effects of the Industrial revolution were more negative than they were positive. Let me tell you why. The Industrial Revolution had many effects on the America and they are that they made manufacturing easier, it made traveling quicker, changed the economy and affected the classes, changed the labor conditions, changed the amount of money people were paid, not to mention how much it changed the amount of pollution in the world. Keep in mind that not all of the effects of the Industrial Revolution were negative, it’s just most of them were negative.

A woman named Elizabeth Bentley wrote a small passage about her job, and in it she states that she worked form 5 a.m to 9 p.m, that’s 17 hours a day. She also stated that she would only get paid a penny an hour. She also said that there was no clock so she couldn’t tell if it was time to leave. She left when the factory owner told her she could, but if she was late to her job, the owner would pay her less than what she’d normally earn. So these results are pretty negative ones caused by the Industrial Revolution.
Another effect of the Industrial Revolution was that the amount of pollution skyrocketed. This was due to the fact there were so many coal fires. This caused many trees to decay. A woman named Flora Tristan wrote a passage in her diary, and in those passages it stated that there was dense fog in the city and that there was a black cloud in London. She stated that it was on days like this that brought depression upon the people of London.
