The 1780s there was a critical period in American period because that moment would decide the path of our nation. At the moment the nation was ruled by the Articles of Confederation written during the Revolutionary war for independence of America. The power was given to each state because the colonies were unwilling to create another central power like that of King George lll. The Articles of Confederation were ineffective because of the lack of power the government had. The government couldn’t tax people or regulate trade because the power was appropriated to each state.
