The three people are the Children, the African Americans, and the Women. So first off let's start with the African Americans. The African Americans were affected a lot by the war. The slaves in the South tried to run away to the North but the South made a law that they would be forced to go back to the South. Then the slaves were forced into the armies to fight as Confederates. But back in the North the slaves were all free.
