Were Hammurabi’s code just? Nearly 4,000 years ago, a man named Hammurabi became the king of Babylon. Today the city state only exists in an archaeological site. Hammurabi made these laws many years ago and they were pretty much the first laws to ever be created, many people believe these laws weren’t fair or just. I believe Hammurabi’s laws weren’t only fair I personally think they would help our society today.
Were Hammurabi’s family laws just? Law 129: if a women cheats on her husband she will be cast binded into water. I think this law is fair because if you cheat on your husband if could almost ruin his life. This law would cut down cheating in a marriage but a landslide. Cheating is a huge part of today’s society and needs to be stopped
