No doubt, at the foundation of the success of Wells Fargo’s CSR Plan is the company’s culture. Leadership and CRS research information. As stated in the introduction, Wells Fargo prides itself with the continuance of its founding values set by its leadership back in 1852. Today these values are still being held in high regard by the company’s commitment to its CSR. The involvement of leadership oversight to ensure that the organization identifies, implements, and meets their CSR goals include a process where management establishes their CSR goals, the Board of Directors approves the strategy, and then their over 265,000 team member’s (domestic and internally) carry them out. Additionally, the expectation is that Wells Fargo leader’s take the lead not only in developing their CSR initiatives but supporting them through their leadership behaviors and practices. One example, of the leadership commitment to developing culturally competent leaders to sustain and lead the practices of in their diverse workplace and with their multicultural customers, is by sponsoring an “unconscious bias leadership training program.” Wells Fargo has also adopted 2020 Goals for their CSR that will include contributing over $8.5 million to their CSR goals.
