Wells Fargo and Company was destined to become the leading banking company of the West, after being founded by Henry Wells and William Fargo. Wells Fargo was inspired by California’s economy boom that happened after the discovery of gold at Sutter’s Mill in the year 1849. Due to these events, Wells and Fargo along with several New York investors began to create the company we all know now as Wells Fargo that would profit from this demand. Because of California’s camps that were isolated for mining, Wells Fargo had the idea to begin to first transport the loads of freight between the East Coast and these camps in July 1852. With the company’s engagement in banking, they also ensured to make high profits in the traffic of gold dust and stride to provide loans that helped sustain the growth the economy in California.…

I find this story quite amusing, so I couldn’t help but share it through this assignment. First, the commercial itself.…

A modern day example where the bargaining power of customers is low and where the level of competition is less was previously seen prior to the fracking boom. Previously, the nations' energy demands were (and mostly still are) at the mercy of OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries). OPEC has mostly provided most of the oil globally and has mostly colluded to increase prices on energy reliant nations. Fracking created a small yet significant competitor to OPEC, thereby forcing OPEC now to dramatically drop prices below costs to force many of these fracking companies either out of business, or severely reducing their scale.…

First of all, the lesson was the importance of too much advertising, even though at one point in the game I had the largest market share for commuters, the cost of spending money to attract more customer was breaking my bottom line. Secondly, I learned that I could never please all needs and wants of the customer, I ended the game with the best customer feedback at almost every turn. However, my cost of goods was ultimately higher than net profit. Finally, I learned that using too many distributors can affect your net profit as well, their profit share was taking most of the profit I was receiving from the sales of my backpacks.…

I understood how important a great company culture is to a company. If there was not a sense of purpose to the customers, then the customers may have felt less obligated to fight for Arthur T. I also understood that company’s decisions can have impact on many people, from customers and employees, to produce distributor and local economies. A company is nothing without its customers.
