While attending the Wells Fargo Information Session on campus, I learned and found the information about the Leading Women in Financial Services. The LWFS interests me greatly because it offers me an opportunity to gain experience and seminar training in the real business world. As a full-time student, I maintain a good standing in leadership activities as well as in academics. My experiences have given me the communication skills, leadership skills, and finance background that make me an idea candidate for Wells Fargo LWFS.
With the good standing of grades, I am also involved in different organizations to practice my leadership skills in a teamwork environment. Currently, as the Senior Vice President of Finance Association, I monitor the work and evaluate the results of assigned projects from each department. By providing feedback and counseling to board members, I motivate boards to improve their work performances. For example, I reviewed kick-off social event plan with Vice President of Operation. Giving out the objective, providing the instruction, and overviewing the budget management, I helped the operation team to reduce 21% of the expense and improved the overall preparation of the event. I work at Michelson Dental Office, where I apply my business knowledge to increase office’s profit margin. Since the procedure fees from insurance company is the main profit for office, calculating and setting a reasonable but profitable fee is extreme important. As an office assistant, I create Variable Cost Analysis by comparing the prices from previous and current year with Microsoft Excel in a pivot table. Based on the analysis, I am able to generate the fees that satisfy both insurance company and our office. Moreover, I maintain customer relationship by solving the service problem and contacting the patient on regular
