I visited with Mrs. Donna Robinson/Wellness Director of a neighboring school. I asked her questions about the sustainability of this clinic when the five year grant money is no longer available. She began to explain to me how each doctor has furnished their own materials and equipment and after five years of investing services for their community they feel they will able to continue operating this clinic on their own at that time. Mrs. Robinson’s summed it up by telling me, “In other word, they will not have any fees during the duration of the grant and when the grant is discontinued they will be fully invested and should have no problems sustaining. Because I am familiar with several school board members and school administrators, I feel we will have an advantage to being prepared to answer any questions they might have. One advantage to using the outsider strategy is using the local media to report on our proposal, this will help us to inform and educate the public to the need and advantages this Wellness Clinic will have to their community. After a write up in the local newspaper and an interview on the local news, we will have the opportunity to ask for public support. Once we have the public support, I believe it’s important to begin a signature petition to present to the school board to show proof of the community
