“Well-behaved women seldom make history.”- Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History. A few women who change history are Cleopatra, Queen Elizabeth I, Susan B Anthony, and Michelle Obama. Without these women our society might not be the way it is now. Here’s the story about four brave women who changed history not only with their appearances, but with their actions.
Cleopatra was born in 69 B.C. She became the queen of Egypt in 51 B.C. when she was only 18 years old. Cleopatra was very beautiful and could seduce many men, she was also named a goddess. While she was ruling she met Julius Ceaser and moved to Rome with him. They got married and had a child named Caesarion. After Ceaser was assassinated she moved back to Egypt

She grew up in a Quaker family, so she joined the Daughters of Temperance. The Daughters of Temperance was a group of women who campaigned for strong liquor laws to stop the overuse of alcohol. She also joined the Women’s right movement in 1853 after they wouldn’t let women speak at temperance movements. She wanted schools to admit women, and have equal education opportunities no matter your race or gender. She also campaigned for the right to have women to own their own property. Her and Barack have been a united front in the world of politics. She supported him during his term as a senator and up to his presidential election. During his two four year terms, she didn 't just pat his shoulder in support. She has had a just as equally active role in the world. She founded the Let 's Move! to fight child obesity. It 's goal is to provide healthier food in our schools, helping kids be more active, or urging companies to supply healthier foods to our children. She also founded Reach Higher Initiative, which encouraged students to have an education past high school. Michelle Obama is a wife, mother and political figure. She supports families and children to make America a better nation. These four women have made their mark on history. They were strong leaders who made impressive achievements. Cleopatra, Elizabeth I, Susan B Anthony and Michelle Obama are all inspirations. They show us that how the roles of women have changed and also remained constant.
