A welder/fabricator requires the ability to talk and collaborate with others. ecsecially when the work needs to be done by a group. Even if it is freelance work, a welder/fabricator needs to be able to talk to the customer about the plans. They need to figure out cost, and buy the correct metals for the job. A welder/fabricator needs to have the confidence that good speech skills will bring them. Without that confidence they won't be able to convince their customer that they are the right man for the job. This will lose them work and buisness and they won't be able to keep the profession. If a welder/fabricator runs into a problem or design flaw, they need to be able to talk it over with the customer(s). They will need the skills to properly
