1. In the articles "Welcome to the Future" by Matthew Hudson and "What may happen in the next hundred years" by John Elfreth Watkins Jr., the way the authors portray the future it seems like our society is bound to laziness. One way that shows laziness is in our future is self driving cars. "Future cars will drive themselves. These electric cars will communicate with other cars on the road to travel safely in close formation at high speeds" (Hudson 22). This is laziness at its finest because we are so lazy that we're gonna need self driving cars to provide us with transportation instead of getting behind the wheel our self to control the vehicle. Based on the articles "Welcome to the Future" by Matthew Hudson and "What may happen in the next hundred years" by John Elfreth Watkins Jr., the future is revolving around two words INSTANT SATISFACTION. One way the future has instant satisfaction is you can print you own jeans. "With amazing 3-D printers, you will download plans for a new pair of jeans and print them out at home, instead of having them shipped from far away" (Matthew 22). This is a perfect example of instant satisfaction because most people don't want to wait five days for jeans, so if we can print jeans you won't have to wait and you will be instantly satisfied. Another supporting prediction of the future that will satisfy our needs quickly is that the internet service will be speedy where ever you go. "A husband in the middle of the Atlantic will be able to converse with his wife in Chicago" (Elfreth 24). This will instantly satisfy us because now instead of hitting your phone and holding it into the air to get bars you can have speedy internet and you won't have to wait for anything to load. As a result to these new futuristic advancements people will start to think everything will be handed to the quickly and you won't have to have a patient bone in your body, which when something does not come to them quickly people will start to get
