This paper will be addressing a brief history of forensic science. The video Welcome to Homicide will also be reviewed and mentioned within this paper. The crime scene within the video will be discussed in full detail analyzing each step of the forensic process. Examination of three different pieces of evidence detailed within the crime scene from the video. A summary will also be done on the crime scene reconstruction and the significant findings found from the scene. Technology applied to forensic science continues to improve and benefit the field. Forensic science represents how science and technology is used within forensics to help solve a case or problem that is an investigation. Forensics scientists have two main goals, the first goal is to establish “results and information for a legal case”, the second goal is individualization which is “establishing that a person or thing is unique among members of its class”(Gaensslen, Larsen, 2013, Sec. 1.1, Para. 2). Within forensic science forensic scientists will collect and preserve evidence found and crime scenes. This video followed the lead detective Shane White around as the case was resolving. The detectives where called to an apartment complex where a body was believed to be in the trunk of a car. As police arrive to the scene as well as the detectives blood is spotted on the back of the car near the trunk, Pictures are taken for evidence and examination before the car is touched or moved. The detectives discovered a body stuffed in the inside of the trunk of the vehicle. As white examines the scene and pounders that the murdered victim was killed in a different location and then placed in the back of the vehicle. Since there are no witnesses that have came forward at this time the deceives must use forensic evidence found in the victims car as well as on the victims body to help find a suspect to the case. The detectives only have the body and car to utilize and examine for evidence at this point. The vehicle is test for blood, DNA, fingerprints and any other evidence that can be found in the victims car where the victim was placed in the trunk of the vehicle. The biggest break in the case which dramatically change the outcome of this case was a 911 call from a witness who said he that he had seen two males outside by the car and car was parked in witnesses wife’s parking spot. Then the witness heard two gunshots coming from what he thought was his neighbors apartment. This gave the
