Weight lifting has many different effects on the musculoskeletal system. It improves joints by making more synovial fluid which in turn means healthier joints , and a wider range of motion. (Dale, 2013) The bones also have a benefit as well they become stronger and more dense. Weightlifting is one of the exercises that help prevents osteoporosis which is the weakening of the bones. Ligaments become stronger as well and consequentially becomes less likely to be injured.
