Weight Training vs. Aerobics According to the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, & Nutrition, “More than 80% of adults do not meet the guidelines for both aerobics and muscle strengthening activities.” The possibility that adults don’t meet these requirements, because they don’t know enough information about these exercises if very high. Though there are many types of exercising, aerobics and weight training are the most common. Picking between these two exercises can be tricky, but knowing more about them can help ensure that your exercising experience is filled to its fullest potential. First and foremost, you should be informed about what each of these exercises are. So, what exactly is weight training? Well, weight training is using some type of weight for resistance to strengthen your muscles. Another thing that you should have knowledge of is what you can use for weight training. Some materials that you can use are free weights, which would be things like barbells and dumbbells, weight machines, resistance bands, and you can even use your own body weight. Then the last thing that you should have information on is what kinds of benefits you can get from weight training.
