1. Describe your experience (3 points)
My experience in the weight training has been great. When I started this class I was lost. I did not know how to work out and use the equipment. Over time, I have learned how to exercise properly and now I can work out all by myself. The best part is that all the workouts I learned in class I can now do in the comfort of my home. I am very glad I took this class because I feel so much healthier and potent. I feel happier about myself and more confident in my body.
2. What did you like the most and least? (3 points) I really like the circuit workouts because it targets strength building and muscular endurance. I also like it because of the high-intensity exercises. In addition, in the circuit workouts, I burn more calories and fat than any other type of workouts. I as well like free-weight workouts. For instance, how to work out with machines and free weights appropriately. Prior to this class, I was intimidated by going to the gym because of the lack of knowledge in using gym equipment. Now, I feel confident and knowledgeable. I also learned what muscles to target first when exercising. When exercising, we should start with large muscles and then smaller muscle. For example, quadriceps before calves and chest before biceps.
4. Could weight training motivate you to continue to exercise? Why or why not? (3 points)
I really like weight training. At first, I thought weight training was more for bodybuilders. However, taking this class made me realize not in all cases. Weight training helps muscle, strength, and endurance. This type of workout does motivate me to continue to exercise because it is very beneficial. For example, it improves bone density, increases the strength of tissue, muscles, and tendons, and improves the quality of life.
