Weekday Learning Center Leadership Training Program Good morning and welcome to the Weekday Learning Center Leadership Training Program. First let me take a minute to congratulate each one of you on your new position here at Weekday and encourage you to use every opportunity given to you to learn new leadership skills, to apply those new skills, and help yourself and Weekday succeed. Unfortunately, when some individuals think of being a leader and what that entails, they often think of power, control, and money, not to say those are not associated with being a leader, just not with the same emphasis that many would think. This training program is to help each of you understand how important being a good leader is as well as the difference between being a good leader and management. For example working with kids as we each have done for many years, we can tell when children come from homes with too much discipline, not enough discipline or just the right balance of discipline as well as homes where the children merely exist. Using this example, we can tell that as the leaders of our homes we can influence the outcome of our children through the way we lead our homes and likewise as leaders of Weekday Learning Center we also influence the way that our teachers, parents, volunteers, and other workers will learn, create, interact, and express themselves.
