Troy and I got married on February 1,2014 and we were just shy of a one year engagement. We payed for the entire wedding our selves. I made most of my money through babysitting, and Troy was studying full time and only worked one day at the video store and an occasional day at a wedding retreat. Thankfully, he had a decent savings. Our budget was limited and we had 140 people at our wedding. Here is how we kept our wedding cost under $10,000.

Well actually I saved money going this route, because I live in Arizona there is a large Hispanic culture and Quincenera 's are popular, there are a lot of Hispanic dressmakers and surprisingly there prices are very reasonable. I ended up paying $518 for my dress and she even tea/coffee stained my veil and a very specific lace I wanted as it came in a pure white and I wanted it to be aged. Definitely look at all of your dress options. Do you have any outlet bridal stores, dress designers, or if you are a bit more bold online. I have had 3 friends order their dresses from China and they were all perfect.
I decided to take a risk on my veil, I ordered it from Etsy for $29. I figured if it didn 't work I just wouldn 't wear one. I was not going to pay bridal salon prices for one. It was beautiful, but came in pure white and not Ivory like I ordered, which is why I had my seamstress stain it. (that worked out better anyway)
