Wedding Crashers is a comedy film about characters, Jeremy, and John, who “crash” weddings and other social places. The film unfolds several forms of social deviance that are evident in the current society. All actions of the characters do not depict the normal ways of life in a society. Jeremy and John are the main characters who are victims of social deviance. Moreover, social control is also a major theme of the movie (Adler & Adler 2015:13). Wedding Crashers is an ideal reflection of what happens in the society. Irresponsible sexual relationships are evident in all parts of the movie. They attend all weddings and parties to acquire women who can offer them sexual satisfaction. Their promiscuity is against rules and regulations of any society. Jeremy and John take advantage of their charming looks to mislead ladies. They sleep with them for a night and abandon them the next morning. It is not normal to have sexual intercourse with several ladies each day. Their sexual misconduct may expose them to health problems and social alienation. However, it is interesting to watch how they convince different ladies and take them to bed. John and Jeremy demonstrate social deviance by taking advantage of the women’s vulnerability to sexual emotions. Each character takes their ladies to secluded places where they induce them to erotic emotions that lead to sexual intercourse. The movie reveals how promiscuous men mislead girls and other married women to perform sexual activities (Franzese 2015:9). The theme of infidelity that affects a larger proportion of marriages in the society today is evident in Wedding Crashers. Jeremy and John attend the wedding and identify William’s daughters, Gloria, and Claire. Jeremy pairs with Gloria while John takes Claire. As the movie proceeds, Jeremy manages to convince Gloria and the pair engages in sexual intercourse. Gloria develops the love for Jeremy without knowing his real intentions. John equally gets close to Claire with intentions of taking her to bed. The two relationships become complicated when John realizes that Claire is in a relationship with Sack. Wedding Crasher reveals how casual relationships develop in the current society (Adler & Adler, 2015:11). Gloria develops the love for Jeremy faster than expected. It is evident how ladies tend to succumb to deceptive words of men. She falls in love by Jeremy’s charming looks.
