Introduction
The evolvement of technology has enabled access to all sorts of information from the World Wide Web. Web 2.0 is a growing online technology phenomenon for all users as it enhances collaboration and allows information to be able to be shared in ways that weren’t possible before. Kiwi Experience can benefit from using web 2.0 as it can contribute to the growth of their business as of now and in the upcoming future.

This phenomenon of web 2.0 is no longer known as a technology of static pages based off of HTML, it is much more than that. Web 2.0 provides access to various interactive communication platforms as it enables web users to share ideas, collaborate and participate with one another. An example of the development of web 2.0 and creating interaction between users is the application of YouTube. With YouTube, all individuals using the web can upload their own content and share this content through videos with the entire world. Online advertising will benefit Kiwi Experience as it will establish awareness of their service through the web, and considering that technology has become such a valuable source of information for everyone, surely online advertising will enhance the recognition of Kiwi Experience as a business by many travellers from around the world. By getting more people to know Kiwi Experience through the web will also result in the growth of the business. Web 2.0 allows users to give feedback on experiences and share their thoughts. Traveller’s that have had experience with kiwi experience can publicise this through reviews, hence creating awareness to a wider range of people. Not only is online advertising effective for recognition but it is also cost effective for the business because it is low in cost compared to getting information printed in magazines and newspapers.
It has been shown that web 1.0 technology is static, non-interactive and a “read-only” source of information. However, web 2.0 is the opposite of all these things. Web 2.0 is collaborative, cooperative and easily interactive for web users. So it makes sense for web 2.0 to be used by Kiwi Experience to get their service known to various travellers, therefore, will result in the growth of the business whilst maintaining low-cost levels through the use of web 2.0
