I agree with your post. There are both positive and negative aspects to wearing the body cameras. Physical force is necessary in certain situations. Not every suspect will act cooperative towards the officer that will question him/her. Wearing a body camera may make an officer feel uncomfortable and self-conscious which may cause him not to assert his or her powers properly. However, I also agree with you for the fact that the cameras will ensure the officer and the suspect’s safety and prevent violent incidents. If the officer is not a violent person in general, he should not have problem following proper procedure instead of pretending to be someone else.
