During the 20th century there was not much to know about how emotionally traumatizing war is. Soon after doctors decided on studying the effect war can have on soldiers. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a symptom made by doctors on a regular basis for patients who have suffered major traumas. By forcing future generations to serve two years of military service will do nothing beneficial for us other than leaving an emotional mark. It's unfair to bring pain and suffering that will forever scar their thoughts. Choosing whether a person wants the baggage of war or not should be their choice not forced upon them.
Furthermore, it might not benefit an individual’s future career and be a complete waste of that individual’s time altogether. It makes no sense to force a person to do something that doesn’t even go with what they actually want to do. For instance, if someone wanted to become a singer than doing two years of military service would hold no importance to them. By forcing the choice of doing military service it will end up crushing many people’s dreams. Imagine having a goal and before you can even start to achieve that goal you have to get past a two year obstacle that doesn’t even help towards that
