And for some people, going to college with the long term goal of having their own business is not the best option. There are over a hundred entrepreneurs who succeeded without a college degree. It is the largest greeting card business in the United States to be specific, and the founder never even went to college. What is useful when starting a business, however, is the money to do so. Using the money that would be spent in college for startup capital can be a smart decision for aspiring entrepreneurs. It is one of the fields where education does not matter as much as product. What a person can do has more value than what a person knows when it comes to starting a business. If someone has the drive and talent, taking the step to get the business started without waiting all those years to graduate from college can be a great decision. Going to college in search of validation or permission to set those ideas in motion is a waste of time.
