My topic is to abolish the death penalty. It is very unfair that 4.1% of all the defendants in the U.S sentenced to the death penalty are incidentally killed for crimes that they did not even commit. Therefore, it could be anyone that is mistakenly sentenced to the death penalty, including yourself. Some of the reasons why the death penalty should be abolished are: we should never take away the life of a person no matter what they have done, innocent people are being killed by the death penalty, no civilian job should include killing another person, and research shows that the cases of the death penalty have cost more and are costing taxpayers more money as well.
