Explication: “We can Remember It for You Wholesale”: The title of a short story written by Philip K. Dick. The story is about the life of Doug Quail, the lowly clerk. This text can relate to individuals today, wanting a more interesting/ adventurous life. Quail is made to believe he is a lowly clerk. He pays someone to implant ideas into his mind. Seemingly one can assume he truly lived an adventurous life. However, Quail is so into the image that he does not realize the cracks that truly cannot be real.
