We All Looked Up Book Report

You are a truly phenomenal writer! Your book “We All Looked Up” truly took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. The book is very enticing and pulled me further in the more pages that I turned. The book is very realistic as well, a meteor could be headed straight towards Earth and we may not have a lot of time left, exactly like what is happening to Eliza, Andy, Peter, and Anita in the book. The fact that you can look into the lives of four teenagers and see how their inveterate lives are changing so drastically is amazing. You can vividly see as well as feel their emotions and all of their fears about how the world may or may not be coming to an end.
One thing I truly loved about your book is how you really brought the characters to life. I

One character that I really disliked was Bobo, I thought he was very rude to Andy and his other friends. I thought Bobo was never very respectful of Misery, his girlfriend and Peter’s little sister. She was a menace but she did not deserve to be treated as terribly as she had been. I wish that you had not made Anita’s parents so callous, even though I do understand their role in the book is to be overprotective and harsh. I wish they all could have gotten along a bit better and she did not feel so hurt by them all the time. Another thing I did not love about the book was that the character you were reading about switches every couple of pages or so. It is when you would finally dig into a certain character and then they were over and you were moving on to the next. I did like that we did not just hear the story from one point of view, I loved that it was four different people. Not only was it four different people, but both genders, different skin colors, all with mixed attributes throughout the entire book. Overall, this book was amazing. The well-constructed plot line plus the striking characters made this book come instantly alive to me the second that I picked it up. All of the emotions I felt it in “We All Looked Up” were ones I have rarely gotten from any other book, and for that Tommy Wallach, I would like to say thank you! You have brought

I like how at the beginning it starts out giving a little background of who the Grimke sisters are and a bit of history about them as well. I liked how it was wrote in a diary format, but everything was still explained through the book. I really loved and could tell that everything that was explained throughout the book was explained in order. Throughout the book, it talked about many things we have discussed and talked about in class such as the cotton gin. In the book, it mentions that during Sarah’s childhood, the cotton gin had effected a transformation in Southern Agriculture.…

In this book, Cherry was definitely one of my favorites, but I did not like that she was a SOC. On the other hand, I did not like Dally. He was a not nice at the beginning of the book when they went to the drive in movie, but it was not only the drive in that he was mean, it is throughout the whole book. When I think about who I relate to in this book, I think of Cherry. She stands her ground when it comes to bullies or anyone else.…

Dear R.J. Palacio, Your book Wonder was more than just a book to me. I was born three months early with low blood platelets and multiple deforms on my body. All these things never became a problem until my first year of middle school and I started to get sick more often and the spots on my skin became more prominent. I got bullied for the things i could not control. I felt as if i was trapped and would never be able to escape, until someone recommended I read Wonder.…

I don’t really read much, but I have to admit when I looked at the list of book options you had given us I thought to myself “Which one of these descriptions would be a movie worth watching?” and automatically I had the urge to read this book (or maybe talk a producer into making this into a movie). It could have been the goofy names or the fact that their dad was a god that got my attention, but I definitely thank my instincts on picking this book to read. I really did like this book. It was very thorough for a four hundred page book.…

To Lemony Snicket, I have just finished reading the first book of your ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ series. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, even though it was my second time reading it. Throughout the book, I appreciated the definitions of the words along the way, which helped to understand the book. I also admire the excellent description used throughout the series, which really made me visualize the story, and paint a picture in my head. The plot was fast flowing, not dwelling on a certain feature for a long time, which made the book interesting the entire way through.…

The House of the Seven Gables: A Review Dark yet romantic, eerie yet cheerful, The House of the Seven Gables, by Nathaniel Hawthorne is a book that subtly sets up and defends an interesting case on the theme for Pride and Nobility between generations of family. The haunting novel revolves around the remaining descendants of a once-wealthy and proud generation displaying the family’s downfall and the ripples of influence that take place leading all the way back to the ancestor that started it all. This Book had some solid characters and a few characters that I would sometimes just feel bad for. Hepzibah, especially, for that matter because she is just another person trying to make ends meet while all her cousins and brother are out looking…
