Although, most victims do not want to take about the abuse they have been unlucky enough to encounter, it often times help to reach out to someone and talk about what has happened in case medical attention is needed. If medical attention is necessary, the next step that should be taken is getting the treatments that the doctor suggest. Also, according to the article Child Welfare And Human Trafficking, victims often time acquire mental health problems as a result of the abuse. A few mental health problems that arise include, post traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety, and trust issues. The injustice act that they have gone through is unlike any other, but by standing up one could help professionals stop the crime from happening in their community. It is scary to stand up when you have been the one that has been abused and torn down most of your life. But, if you could prevent someone else from going through the physical and emotional abuse you have wouldn’t you want to? As I stated before, the National Human Trafficking Resource Center has given us a phone number to call to alert them that human trade is happening in their community.
