When the average temperature of our planet gradually increases over time we call this global warming. Global warming is affecting the oceans, land and wildlife. The ocean temperature is increasing causing damage to our coral reefs and melting the polar ice caps at a much faster pace than ever recorded before. It may seem like only larger measures enacted by the government can be taken to prevent global warming, but we can help. While it is true, we do need stricter government policies to control greenhouse gas we as human beings need to start focusing our efforts to reduce and prevent global warming in our everyday routines. We have to leave a smaller carbon footprint or face the cold truth that the human race can and will go extinct in order for the earth to recover, its part of the planets way of sustaining itself.

If we want to keep our earth habitable lower our risk of extinction, we have to act now and make the small changes now and over time make the big changes. It is important to get educated on Global warming and the effects it has on the environment. If everyone makes the necessary changes our world will stand the test of time, however with no action we are facing a very grim reality. A reality of a rising ocean that causes a loss of land that will lead to food shortages and decline of all wildlife. We only have one place to live and we have to make it a great place. Humanity needs to band together and face global warming head on so we can keep this planet for all future
