You may have noticed the tell-tale signs that you have mice in your house or apartment, the squeaky noises, scratching, running at night, mouse droppings. Mice can be a real menace and worse, the pesky creatures can breed and multiply pretty first.

If you have spotted a mouse in your environs and do not let them create a mischief, you need to nip them in the bud as quick as you can.

There are various methods of getting rid of mice - some are humane others downright cruel but ultimately if you want to get rid of them there various methods that you can employ.

Get a cat

Simply put, cats will eat mice. It's true Tom and Jerry just don't mix. This is a natural way of getting rid of them. This method will not work if you are not allowed pets in your apartment or

This is messy but if you are not squeamish, try this method and make sure to place the trap on top of a newspaper for easy cleaning after the deed.

Rodent poison

There are several types of poisons out there used to kill mice and other types of rodents. These types of poison either dehydrate the mice or cause them to bleed to death when ingested. You have to be very careful with this method as it is dangerous to have poison around your home especially if you have children or even pets. Sprinkle the poison droppings in corners of your house where you suspect the mice are nesting. Be careful as the mice might die inside cupboards or drawers causing quite a stink.

As with all pests, you will need to put in measures to ensure they do not return, make sure you keep your house clean. Decongest the house and get rid of any old boxes and magazines which the mice might want to nest in. Mice, particularly like cardboard boxes, so avoid placing these on the floor. Make sure your garbage is sealed so as not to attract mice by the smell of disposed
