Clean the cylinders. Dip the bore brush into the solvent again, and clean each cylinder in the same fashion as the barrel. Carefully push the bore brush through each cylinder until it exits on the other side, and pull back into the cylinder. Once again, you might want to repeat this multiple times in the cylinder to break off powder residue, and corruption.
5. Clean barrel with cleaning patches. Attach the cleaning patch to rod; once again dip into cleaning solvent. Push the rod with the cleaning patch into the barrel until it exits; make sure not to hit the firing pins. Carefully pull back through. Repeat.
Remove the cleaning patch with solvent, and place a dry cleaning patch on the rod. Push the rod into the barrel until it exits, and back through the opposite direction. Do this step a couple of times until you see less dirt on the cloth. If you need to replace the dry cloth, with another dry cloth and repeat the step again until the solvent is removed. When pushing the clean patch into the barrel, it should slide easier, due to the decreased build up within the barrel and cylinders. (TBCYR, 2008)
